Launches a scan using the specified configuration.

Requires the Scan Operator [24] user role or the WAS.SCAN_WAS.MANAGE custom role privilege. Also requires the WAS.SCAN_WAS_SYSTEM_TEMPLATE.USE custom role privilege if using a Tenable-provided scan template. Additionally, requires the Can Execute [32] scan permission. See Roles and Permissions.

202Returned if Tenable Web App Scanning successfully launches the scan.

403Returned if you do not have either user permissions to launch the scan or scan permissions to use the scan configuration. For more information, see Roles and Permissions.

404Returned if Tenable Web App Scanning cannot find the specified scan configuration.

409Returned if a scan is already is a running for the specified configuration.

429Returned if you attempt to send too many requests in a specific period of time. For more information, see Rate Limiting.

500Returned if an internal error occurred in Tenable Web App Scanning.
