Tenable plugins are programs for detecting vulnerabilities written in the Nessus Attack Scripting Language (NASL). Plugins contain vulnerability information, solution information, and the algorithm to test for the presence of the security issue.
Use the API to list plugin families, list plugins in a family, and return the details for individual plugins. You can then use the plugin information to configure scans and policies.
For more information, see the Tenable Plugins Portal and Configure Plugins in Vulnerability Management Scans in the Tenable Vulnerability Management User Guide.
